Shah Alam, August 8th Mdua Motor Sdn. Bhd. (KOVE Malaysia) are thrilled to announce the official flag-off of the KOVE Malaysia Racing Team for the Asia Cross Country Rally 2024 (AXCR2024) in Thailand. This prestigious rally, spanning over 2000 kilometers of both remote and road areas, promises to be a relentless yet exhilarating journey from Surat Thani to Kanchanaburi over six challenging days from 12th to 17th August 2024.

Sanctioned by the FIA, the AXCR2024 Rally is renowned for its demanding routes. Participants are divided into car and bike categories, each with specific cc and specifications, ready to tackle this rigorous competition.

Representing the KOVE Team is Hazim Hayazi, a young and talented Malaysian motorcross racer celebrated for his remarkable skills in off-road and endurance racing. His impressive achievements include:

  1. Champion in Class-C at the GIVI Rimba Raid 2023
  2. Champion ‘King of Royal Rumble’ in Royal Rumble Hard Enduro Rider 2023
  3. Third place overall at the WRC Orange Enduro 2023 in the Open Category
  4. Fourth place in Class C in Gamuda Gardens Advenduro-X 2024

For AXCR2024, Hazim will be riding the KOVE 450 Rally, equipped with advanced roadbook navigation systems and racing kits similar to Dakar-Rally race. He will be supported by two dedicated young members of the KOVE Racing Team’s technical and logistics division.

KOVE is a dynamic and young team inspired by the outstanding success of KOVE’s race principal, who dominated the bike stages at the Taklimakan Rally in China. It is a special honour that the KOVE Malaysia Racing Team is the sole representative of Malaysia in this prestigious event.

The team participation in AXCR2024 underscores our commitment to proving the durability and performance of KOVE bikes in the diverse conditions of ASEAN. We aim to use this event as a proving ground for the exceptional capabilities of the KOVE 450 Rally. Our target is not just to finish the race but to win several rounds within this AXCR2024 rally, showcasing our strength and resilience.
