Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. is excited to announce its double victory at the inaugural Allianz-BikesRepublic Motorcycle of the Year Awards 2025 received yesterday. The Honda ADV350 clinched the Best Scooter of the Year (Above 250cc) award, while Honda Transalp XL750 secured the Adventure Bike of the Year (Below 800cc) title.

Organized for the first time by Allianz Malaysia in collaboration with BikesRepublic.com, the Motorcycle of the Year Awards aims to recognize outstanding motorcycles launched in 2024. The awards mark a significant expansion of Allianz’s longstanding tradition of celebrating automotive excellence, having organized the Car of the Year Awards for 17 consecutive years. This year, the company extended its appreciation to the two-wheeler community, acknowledging the growing passion and innovation within the motorcycle industry.

The award selections were determined by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Keshy Dhillon, Jehan Miskin, and Captain Nash—all seasoned motorcyclists with decades of experience in the automotive and motorcycle sectors. Their collective expertise and deep-rooted passion for riding lent credibility and prestige to the evaluation process.

The Honda ADV350, a premium scooter designed to elevate urban commuting and long-distance journeys, impressed the judges with its robust performance, advanced technology, and versatile capabilities. Its 330cc engine delivers a balance of power and efficiency, making it ideal for both city traffic and highway cruising. The ADV350 also boasts advanced features such as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), smart key system, and ample under-seat storage, providing riders with convenience, safety, and practicality.

Meanwhile, the Honda Transalp XL750 was celebrated for setting a new benchmark in the mid- range adventure bike segment. Powered by a 755cc parallel-twin engine, it offers a smooth yet dynamic riding experience suitable for both on-road touring and off-road exploration. The Transalp XL750 is equipped with a sophisticated electronics package, including multiple riding modes, Honda Traction Control, and a TFT display. Its lightweight chassis and comfortable ergonomics further ensure that riders can tackle long-distance journeys and rugged terrains with confidence and ease.

Commenting on this double win, Mr. Kunitomo Asano, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Boon Siew Honda, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are deeply honoured to receive these two awards. This recognition is a testament to Honda’s commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and performance-driven motorcycles that cater to the diverse needs of Malaysian riders. DEFENSIVE RIDING

“It doesn’t matter how good you are at riding a motorcycle, heck you could even be a GP rider. But you can’t control others on the road and there will always be that one dumbass that can potentially cause you lots of trouble. Stay safe, stay defensive and stay focused on your bike.”
