The PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship officially launched its Season 2025 today at the LYL International Karting Circuit with its 10-round format for the year.
Ron Hogg, Promotions Director of Safe Aim Mutual said, “PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship remains vital as a platform in alleviating its thriving ecosystem beyond the sports itself, especially in ensuring a constant and consistent flow of sustainable impact for the PETRONAS Cub Prix community. Our goal over 32 years has dependably been about meeting these needs while simultaneously enhancing the safety measures that would provide a safe and conducive environment for our riders. This is where we are unique in our form and functions as a sporting event. On the surface, we may be a sport but above that, we serve a larger purpose for the community, society and nation.”
“This is an exciting phase for us, more so with the growing number in participations. One of it is the expansion of the PETRONAS Sprinta Pro-Am Cup where we will witness the participation of former riders from the expert category. This definitely sets a benchmark for us especially in showcasing our truest aspirations that is not defined by age limits. Apart from that, we will also see the debut of a new factory-make machine this season which will race alongside big players, Yamaha and Honda in the CP150 race category. If 32 years ago, the championship may have seen factory brands like Suzuki and Modenas, this will be the first since 2021 to see another industry player which is Voge, flexing its strengths to challenge the norms. With this addition, we hope that more factory brands will be inspired to see the valuable proposition of the championship as a platform in serving not only the growing needs of the two-wheels industry but the people who embrace the transformation that comes with motorsports evolution.”

Ron also highlighted the efforts that are being carried out in educating and raising awareness on the PETRONAS Cub Prix and its commitment beyond sports while at the same time advocating for best practices of road safety. The initiative which is scheduled to take place at 16 secondary schools in Klang Valley is further amplified through partnership with PERKESO that aims to impact the community with safe riding.
The PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Season 2025 is scheduled for its season opener at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (North) next weekend. Entry is free.
