MDua Motor Sdn. Bhd. has officially introduced the MODA Shifter 400X, a bold new entry into the adventure and touring scooter segment. Designed for both city streets and off-road trails, this scooter embodies MODA’s new philosophy: “Because I Can,” encouraging riders to take control of their journeys and ride with purpose.

At its heart, the Shifter 400X is powered by a 333cc single-cylinder engine delivering 26.8 hp and 33.5 Nm of torque, making it capable of handling diverse terrains with ease. The suspension setup includes hydraulic telescopic forks in front and double gas shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride. Braking is handled by single disc brakes on both ends, supported by ABS and traction control for added safety.

The scooter rolls on a 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheel combo with a “turtle back” tread pattern, ideal for both highway cruising and light gravel paths. With a seat height of 775 mm and a gross weight of 208 kg, it’s built for comfort and stability. Riders will appreciate the manually adjustable windshield and the advanced lighting system, which includes four LED headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) and a V-shaped LED tail light with Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

Tech-savvy features include a keyless ignition system with anti-theft protection, a spacious illuminated under-seat storage, and a 7-inch full-colour TFT display that shows real-time data including tyre pressure. Charging options are covered with both USB and cigarette lighter ports, and smartphone connectivity is available for navigation and calls. A dual-lens camera system records your rides and syncs with a dedicated mobile app for easy footage access.

Available in Ninja Black and Ultra White, the MODA Shifter 400X is priced at RM23,888 (excluding road tax, registration, and insurance). For more details, visit MODA Motorcycles official website or check out their social media channels.

DEFENSIVE RIDING

“It doesn’t matter how good you are at riding a motorcycle, heck you could even be a GP rider. But you can’t control others on the road and there will always be that one dumbass that can potentially cause you lots of trouble. Stay safe, stay defensive and stay focused on your bike.”
