Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (“MODENAS”), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group (“Group”), through its distribution arm Edaran Modenas Sdn. Bhd. (EMOS), today announced a new Recommended Retail Price (RRP) for the KYMCO AK550 PREMIUM, following the model’s transition to local assembly.

The updated completely knock-down (CKD) model pricing makes the brand’s Malaysian flagship 550cc maxi-scooter more accessible to riders seeking premium performance, comfort, and technology in the super-scooter segment.

The CKD-version of the KYMCO AK550 PREMIUM now carries a new RRP of RM55,888.00 (excluding insurance and registration).

The updated pricing reflects MODENAS and EMOS’ ongoing efforts to enhance market competitiveness while delivering premium features such as the advanced, dual power mode engine mapping, Brembo braking system, and superior ride comfort.

The move to CKD production underscores MODENAS’ commitment to strengthening local assembly capabilities alongside its global partners. With the AK550 PREMIUM now assembled in Malaysia, customers can enjoy improved value while maintaining the high-quality standards associated with the KYMCO brand.
