Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. (“BSH” or “the Company”) kicked off its festive-season initiative with the “Kepulangan Yang Dinanti” motorcycle service and safety campaign at R&R Juru Shell Northbound today.
Organised ahead of the balik kampung season, highlighting the importance of road safety as Malaysians prepare for the long-distance travel. The programme encourages riders to adopt simple, responsible habits that can reduce risks on the road. Whether travelling home for Raya or commuting daily, riders with basic safety gear such as helmets, gloves, and reflective vests can significantly reduce injuries and save lives.
Part of the campaign, participating riders received complimentary motorcycle inspections (10 points), ensuring their bikes are in good condition before continuing their journeys. Riders were also equipped with essential safety gear and engaged in educational activities focusing on hazard awareness and safe riding practices.
This effort supports Honda’s global safety vision to reduce traffic fatalities involving motorcycles and automobiles by 50% and to achieve zero fatalities globally by 2050
The launch at Juru was attended by YB Zairil Khir Johari, alongside representatives from government agencies, industry partners and members of the public. In his remarks, YB Zairil emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility and that small, consistent actions such as wearing proper safety gear will help promote safer habits among all road users.
BSH Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kunitomo Asano, reaffirmed the Company’s commitment on rider safety noting that motorcycles remain as an essential mode of transport for many Malaysians, and BSH is dedicated in ensuring riders feel confident and safe on every journey. He added that initiatives like “Kepulangan Yang Dinanti” remind riders to prepare their motorcycles and practise good riding habits so they can return home safely to their loved ones.
The campaign is supported by Shell Malaysia and PLUS Malaysia Berhad, with contributions from ARC Helmet, EMS Motorsport, Idemitsu Lube Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and Wilayah Credit Sdn. Bhd. These partnerships strengthen BSH’s outreach efforts and reinforce its commitment to public safety.
Following today’s successful programme at R&R Juru, Boon Siew Honda will be at Bazar Ramadan Seberang Jaya tomorrow, extending the same safety offerings to other group of riders.
Through ongoing collaborations with industry partners and local communities, Boon Siew Honda continues its mission to promote responsible riding and help build safer roads for all Malaysians.
