Honda today held a press conference at the 42nd Osaka  Motorcycle Show 2026 (Venue: INTEX Osaka / Dates: March 20–22, 2026) to unveil two new  concept models: the CB400 SUPER FOUR E‑Clutch Concept and the CBR400R FOUR  E‑Clutch Concept.

The CB400 SUPER FOUR E‑Clutch Concept has been developed under the theme “Next  Stage CB – Every moment leads to excitement.” Aiming to be a versatile, enjoyable standard  naked sport motorcycle for all riding situations, the model inherits the lineage of the original  1992 CB400 SUPER FOUR, adopting a highly adaptable Japanese naked style. This approach  evolves the long‑established CB product brand into its next chapter.

The CBR400R FOUR E‑Clutch Concept was created under the development theme “New  Generation Sport – Everyday exhilaration.” Designed to deliver even greater fulfillment in  moments when riders focus solely on the joy of riding, the full‑cowl model features sharp,  solid surfaces reminiscent of machined metal. Combined with its futuristic lighting design, the  motorcycle conveys the advanced performance expected of a next‑generation machine.

Both models are built on a new platform—comprising an all‑new chassis and suspension—engineered  to maximize fun‑to‑ride characteristics. They are powered by a newly developed inline‑four engine and  incorporate advanced electronic control technologies, including Honda E‑Clutch, which enables  automated clutch control, and Throttle‑by‑Wire, which contributes to direct and responsive throttle feel.  These features work together to elevate the overall riding experience.

The CB400 SUPER FOUR E‑Clutch Concept and CBR400R FOUR E‑Clutch Concept  will also be showcased at the 53rd Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2026 (Tokyo Big Sight,  March 27–29) and the 5th Nagoya Motorcycle Show (Aichi Sky Expo, April 10–12).

DEFENSIVE RIDING

“It doesn’t matter how good you are at riding a motorcycle, heck you could even be a GP rider. But you can’t control others on the road and there will always be that one dumbass that can potentially cause you lots of trouble. Stay safe, stay defensive and stay focused on your bike.”
