Complementing this milestone, the Company proudly launches Space Y, Malaysia’s first-ever motorcycle museum.
The 6th-million roll-out exemplifies Yamaha Motor’s drive for excellence and represents the fastest million-unit production milestone in Malaysia’s motorcycle history. Since the Company’s inception, every motorcycle crafted by Yamaha Motor has embodied precision, advanced technology, and dedication to performance.

Dato’ Prof. Dr. Jim Khor, Group Managing Director of Hong Leong Industries Berhad, shared, “Our 5th million mark was a proud achievement, reached in 46 months. Today, we celebrate our 6MRO milestone, achieved in record-breaking time: in only 37 months. This accomplishment marks the fastest millionth production in the history of Malaysia’s motorcycle industry.”
He added: “Throughout our journey to the 6th million, we have focused our energy on driving Industrial Revolution 4.0 and digitalization across the company. Our team will continue exploring Real-time visualization of operational status, advanced planning and scheduling, AMR fleet management, and automated parts supply. We are committed to continuously innovate as we work towards our 7th millionth milestone.”

Space Y – Malaysia’s First Motorcycle Museum
The motorcycle brand’s celebration is further elevated with the unveiling of Space Y, Yamaha Motor’s Motorcycle Museum—the first of its kind in Malaysia’s motorcycle industry. This unique museum offers an unparalleled opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts to explore Yamaha Motor’s rich history, cutting-edge innovation, and artistry while providing a captivating new destination for fans to immerse themselves in Malaysia’s motorcycle
heritage. Featuring the evolution of motorcycles, from the past to the present and into the future, Space Y promises an unforgettable experience for all fans.
Space Y has also been inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records as Malaysia’s First Motorcycle Museum, symbolizing Yamaha Motor’s long-standing commitment to pioneering motor experiences in Malaysia.

Located at Yamaha Motor Lifestyle Station headquarters, Space Y motorcycle museum spans 9,000 square feet and features engaging exhibits, including:

- Innovation Tunnel: An interactive journey showcasing Yamaha Motor’s precision and cutting-edge technology in the production process, reflecting the brand’s unwavering commitment to quality.
- Interactive and Art Space: A dynamic space where visitors can immerse themselves in design and customization experiences, featuring innovative elements like AR technology and the 4D MotoXperience.
- Theatre: A dedicated area for the latest promotional videos and educational content, bringing Yamaha’s story to life on screen.
- Space-Y Shop: An exclusive selection of Yamaha Motor-branded apparel and collectibles.

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor invites the public to experience Space Y, Malaysia’s first Motorcycle Museum with free admission until 31 December 2024. Visit us from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, and on alternate Saturdays of each month, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Additionally, on November 9, 2024, the first 100 visitors will get to enjoy free coffee and take advantage of the Free Yamaha Motorcycle Service Campaign.
