Lambretta, the iconic Italian scooter marque celebrated for its enduring heritage, timeless design, and engineering excellence, today officially unveiled the all-new Lambretta J200 at the 15th Annual Art of Speed 2026. The launch marks the model’s highly anticipated debut in the Malaysian market.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary Lambretta J Series of the 1960s, the new J200 seamlessly combines classic Italian styling with modern engineering and rider-focused technology. Staying true to Lambretta’s distinctive design philosophy, the J200 retains the brand’s signature “Low & Long Architecture”, all-steel monocoque body construction, and unmistakable design DNA, while delivering a refined, premium urban riding experience for a new generation of enthusiasts.
The Malaysian launch was spearheaded by Bike Continent Sdn. Bhd., the official distributor of Lambretta in Malaysia, under the leadership of Managing Director, Mr. Ronnie Chen. Vehicle importation is managed by Mofaz Motosikal Sdn. Bhd., represented by Dato’ Nik Izani Nik Ibrahim. The official product presentation was led by Mr Pierre Sainton, APAC Director of the Lambretta brand.

Globally, the Lambretta brand continues to be owned and managed by Mr. Walter Scheffrahn through Innocenti SA, reinforcing the marque’s authenticity while advancing its commitment to innovation, product excellence, and sustainable international growth.
Coinciding with the launch, Lambretta also announced a strategic collaboration with VICO through the “VICO Bytes to Ride” campaign. Running from 1 August to 30 September 2026, the nationwide consumer promotion is open to all Malaysian citizens, with eight winners selected each week to receive an exclusive Lambretta J200 VICO Edition, further strengthening brand engagement and rewarding consumers across the country.
Lambretta X250GP Speedster

The event also marked the unveiling of the Lambretta X250GP Speedster, a redesigned model featuring a sportier colour scheme and graphic profile. It reinterprets the side panel stripes from classic Lambretta heritage, blending them with a dynamic flame motif to create a sharp look reminiscent of classic Grand Prix racing motorcycles. The X250GP Speedster is available in three new colourways: Aurora Grey Matte, Super Black, and Latte Brown, allowing riders to select a style that suits their personality.
Demonstrating its continued confidence in the Malaysian market, Lambretta also announced the expansion of its retail footprint with the opening of three new authorised showrooms in Shah Alam, Kota Bharu, and Setapak. This expansion brings Lambretta’s nationwide network to 10 authorised showrooms, further enhancing customer accessibility and strengthening after-sales support throughout Malaysia.
