Promising Start for Zulfahmi

After what has been a pretty strong weekend for the Malaysian young riders, Zulfahmi settled with 7th position on the grid after the qualifying round of the Moto3 category last night. It was a really close battle between the top 10 riders as they are only being separated by less than a second.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Sandro Cortese who has been showing strong performance through out the weekend leads the pack with a time of 2:08:188, followed by the Spaniard Maverick Vinales of Blusens Avintia of the FTR Honda. Louis Rossi and Luis Salom settled in the 3rd and 4th position respectively completing the front row of the grid.

The team of Airasia-SIC-Ajo are confidents that their machine and rider will have a strong ability to battle for the top spot and they hope nothing goes wrong for the debuting race of the Moto3 series. Us from Malaysian Riders are certainly hoping that Zulfahmi will at least finish the race in a top 5 places to gain momentum and confidents for the rest of the season.

In the Moto2, Pons 40 Hp Tuenti riders Esteve Rabat and Pol Espargaro both secure the one two starting position after a great showing from the team in the Moto2 class. Followed by Thomas Luthi and Andrea Iannone respectively to complete the front row starting grid in the Moto2 race.

In the MotoGP class, Yamaha machines are looking dominant upfront where Jorge Lorenzo’s great performance gets him the top spot with a 1:54:634 on his Yamaha bike. Second place was secured by Casey Stoner for the Repsol Honda Team with only just .221 of a second behind the Yamaha Factory Racing team. 3rd and 4th places are secured by two of Yamaha’s machine riders of Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies respectively.
