Champion Rider Poured Experience on Youth

For some, the following name that we’re going to write on this article may not be as familiar as Marc Marquez or even our own local riders like Hafizh Syahrin or Zulfahmi Khairuddin. But this young lad is certainly quick on the track; so quick that he manages to climb up the ladder of the local premium superbikes racing series known as the Malaysian Super Series and clinched the title only on his rookie year. Md Muzakkir Mohamed; the 22 years old Bike Art Racing Team rider who rode for the team in the 600cc supersports B category recently made his effort in contributing back to the local community.

PADU, a program initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia in collaboration with PB2R Racing, Pitrides and yours truly; Malaysian Riders. It is a program that gives some “high risk” youths to experience a valuable lesson through the work of youth workers and the program was a brainchild of the widely known minister; YB Tuan Haji Khairy Jamaluddin. On this particular piece of news, Md. Muzakkir was invited to attend a session from PADU’s program in the segment of automotive and motorsports. The program sees five students around the age of 16 years old attends a short course on motorsports to help them define their passion and future.

After days of activities for the five participants which revolves around fitness training, communication training and motorcycle advance riding training, the 2014 MSS Supersports champion turn up at the Elite Speedway Circuit; the venue of training for some knowledge transfer activity with the five participants. Muzakkir spent the evening to share some of his past story and some tips on how to pursue a career in motorsports. The sepang based rider also spoken highly on the program’s ability to cultivating a much proper passion of motorsports here in Malaysia.

Us in Malaysian Riders, being part of the program supports the 22 years old champion’s view towards the program and with the kind of exposure that these youths whom are frequently exposed to their social life and environment. The program shall take the date 22nd of December as it’s final round and the boys are hoped to be able to reach a level of understanding that can help them change the future to the better.
